Library collection search changes - 21 November 2023

On Tuesday 21 November 2023, the Library implemented a planned system upgrade to improve online library systems. This may temporarily impact access to the Library's resource collection system.

The way you search for resources in the collection through UNSW Sydney and Canberra search options remains the same. SearchGateway was decommissioned and UNSW Library now has a single Library collection search. Elements of the Library collection system have been updated with a new look and feel including enhanced accessibility.

Rest assured, your myLibrary loans and requests have not been impacted.

All saved records in My favourites have been migrated with the system upgrade.

Your current search history and saved searches including email notifications have not been migrated.

The Uni-Verse app will still be working during the upgrade. Some links to resources in the Sydney and Canberra Library tiles may not open or be available. We are working to resolve these issues as soon as possible.

Recommendations for UNSW students and staff

• Log into myLibrary and use your saved search bookmarks or links to run and recreate your saved searches in My favourites.
  
• Replace existing bookmarks with the following links:

  https://www.library.unsw.edu.au/mylibrary (View your Library loans and requests)
